Sanger exploded for 12 runs on 16 hits and battled all night long in an offensive showdown with Richland before falling 16-12 in Game 2 of the 4A Region 2 Finals.

The Lady Indians built a 7-1 lead through four innings and survived a late Richland rally to take Game 1 of the Region Final series Wednesday night.
Big hits, timely defense, and clutch relief pitching helped Sanger move one win away from the State Tournament.

Game 1 didn’t go our way Thursday night as Pleasant Grove pulled away late for a 12-2 win in the Region Semifinals.
The Indians battled early and stayed within striking distance through four innings before a big 5th inning shifted momentum. Twister Wilson led the Tribe offensively with 2 hits and a double, while Reed Sebastian and Riley Tarwater each drove in a run.
Now it’s all about responding.
