6. How long have you been a resident of Sanger? 43 years
7. Why are you running for school board, and what are your qualifications? I am seeking re-election for a 3rd term. My reason for serving is simple. Our students are our future leaders of our community, and I want to ensure we are making thoughtful, responsible decisions that set them up for success.
8. What are the top needs of your school district? Our needs are simple. Sanger is growing quickly, and with that growth comes opportunity and responsibility. We need more room for kids to thrive and grow. We need to help to guide the growth and not simply play catch up when it arrives. Our CTE programs are growing by leaps and bounds. I hope to continue to work towards those programs along with our current need for campuses. We should focus on managing growth, maintaining new and existing facilities, and strengthening student outcomes while being responsible with taxpayer dollars.
9. What do you believe are the most important projects to be started or completed in the next 3-5 years for Sanger ISD? First and foremost we must be able to house the influx of students we are expecting. So buildings are a priority . We are nearing capacity at both BES and CCE so a 3rd elementary campus is a must. I believe the district is doing a great job repurposing our older campus. However the need is there. I would like to also continue to see our CTE programs grow. I fully believe in educating children for further education whether it be to enter into college or the workforce.
10. What are your budget priorities? As a contractor I am always very budget aware. Keeping things on time and within budget is always a top priority. School budgets should be simple maximizing student success while being responsible with taxpayers’ dollars. As always teacher pay & staffing are top priorities. We have to invest in our teachers and staff. We also need to continue to offer safe and well-maintained facilities for our children to thrive in. Every budget decision should come back to one question: How does this improves outcomes for our students?
11. How will you address the different needs of all students? All students don’t learn the same way, they all come to school with different challenges and needs. Our staff does an outstanding job recognizing those needs. One thing my family is very passionate about is helping when we can. We can’t help every student all the time, but we try our best to help as many as possible when we hear of a need. As a district we must continue to support and encourage strong special education and individualized students. Simply every child is different, every child has different need.
12. What are your views on educator salaries and benefits? In my opinion, educator’s will never be paid their true value. They are in the trenches daily educating our future leaders. This is a thankless job and their value is immeasurable.
13. What do you see as the board’s roles and responsibilities? The role of a school board is to provide leadership, oversight and accountability for the district. However my main goal is to focus on student and staff success. I am always open to texts, calls, and emails from anyone. Listening to parents, students, staff, taxpayers is essential.
14. Can you explain where the money to fund our schools comes from? Our district is funded through a combination of local, state, and federal sources. This comes from property taxes (local), enrollment, attendance, and also special programs (state) and Title 1 (federal) We also receive funds from bonds and grants.
15. What is your opinion on the proposed $68 million bond for Sanger ISD? I fully support this bond. I believe in the future of our district and community.
16. What role should the community play in supporting the education of children? Our community has critical role in our students’ education. When families stay engaged it’s a direct impact on our students’ success. A strong community builds strong relationships and bonds. When we all work together we all succeed!
17. Please feel free to add any other information you want voters to know about your candidacy.
I believe in the strength of Sanger ISD. We are always striving to improve, to better, and provide the very best for our students and staff. It would be an honor to continue to serve this community that has given so much to me and my family.
Thank you for your support. One Town One Tribe

Our community is growing quickly, and we need leadership that understands both the opportunities and the challenges that come with that growth.
My background in business and development gives me a strong foundation in budgeting, planning, and making decisions that are both responsible and forward-thinking. I want to bring a common-sense, community-first approach to the board and ensure we are making the right decisions for students, teachers, and taxpayers.
8. What are the top needs of your school district? The biggest need right now is planning for growth. We’re already seeing increased enrollment, and we need to stay ahead of it, not play catch-up.
That includes:
• Classroom space and facilities
• Supporting and retaining quality teachers
• Maintaining strong academic and extracurricular programs
9. What do you believe are the most important projects to be started or completed in the next 3–5 years for Sanger ISD?
The most important projects are those tied directly to growth and student success:

The goal is simple: Keep Sanger schools strong while our community grows.

My priorities are:
• Responsible spending

• Putting students and teachers first
We need to make sure every dollar is used effectively while still planning for the future.
11. How will you address the different needs of all students? Every student is different, and our district needs to continue supporting a wide range of opportunities. Academics to athletics to career pathways. That means making sure resources are available across the board and that no group of students is overlooked.
12. What are your views on educator salaries and benefits? Our teachers are one of our greatest assets. If we want to attract and continue to retain great educators, we have to stay competitive. That means supporting fair pay, strong benefits, and an environment where teachers feel valued and supported
13. What do you see as the board’s roles and responsibilities?
The school board’s role is to:
• Set direction and policy
• Ensure financial responsibility
• Support the superintendent and staff
• Represent the community
It’s about leadership, accountability, and making decisions that are best for students.
14. Can you explain where the money to fund our schools comes from?
School funding comes from a combination of:
• Local property taxes
• State funding
• Bonds (for facilities and infrastructure)
Bonds specifically cannot be used for salaries — they are used for buildings, land, and major improvements.
15. What is your opinion on the proposed $68 million bond for Sanger ISD? I support the bond because it’s about staying ahead of the growth we’re already seeing in Sanger.
This bond focuses on infrastructure and facilities that our students need now and will continue to need in the future. It’s about being proactive instead of reactive and making sure our schools remain a source of pride for the community.
16. What role should the community play in supporting the education of children? The community plays a huge role. Strong schools require strong community support — whether that’s through voting, volunteering, or simply showing up.
When a community supports its schools, students benefit across the board.
17. Please feel free to add any other information you want voters to know about your candidacy? I’m committed to Sanger. This is my home, it’s where I grew up and I care about where we’re headed. I believe in common-sense leadership, transparency, and doing what’s right for our kids, our teachers, and our community.
I would be honored to earn your vote and serve Sanger.
