Recently, Sanger ISD proudly celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Sanger High School! This state-of-the-art facility represents a major investment in the future of the students and community.
SISD was honored to have School Board members in attendance, along with representatives from Pogue Construction and VLK Architects — key partners who helped bring this vision to life.
Members of the community who attended the event enjoyed tours of the new campus, and got a firsthand look at the exciting spaces where students will learn and thrive.
Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible — from district leaders and staff to our dedicated community partners. SISD looks forward to the many great memories and achievements that will take place within these walls.
The event featured remarks from district leaders and self-guided tours of the district’s newest facility. Funded by the successful 2022 Bond, the design and construction of the new high school address both current and future growth driven by the area’s accelerated housing market.
Sanger ISD’s May 2022 Bond was the result of a comprehensive plan developed over months of collaboration by a dedicated group of community members, including parents, educators, business and civic leaders, and alumni. Their efforts focused on creating a financially responsible solution to address both the district’s rapid growth and evolving student needs. As part of the plan, the former high school campus transitioned into Sanger Middle School, allowing the district to maximize resources while accommodating the community’s expanding enrollment.
Sanger High School is a 286,915 sf, state-of-the-art campus designed to meet the evolving needs of students. From modernized classrooms and collaborative learning environments to expanded facilities for Career and Technical Education programs, the new high school provides opportunities for students to prepare for their future—whether pursuing higher education or entering a trade. Hallways wrapped with inspirational murals, a multipurpose media center, and a central courtyard create inviting spaces for students to learn and connect. An on-site field house, a competition gym with seating for up to 2,000 people, and a secondary gym ensure that student athletics are easily accessible and support a wide range of community and student functions. Designed to accommodate up to 1,400 students, the school officially opened earlier this summer for the 2025–2026 academic year.
It was a wonderful evening filled with students proudly sharing their new learning spaces with family and friends. The new high school underscores the district’s commitment to providing students with the best possible opportunities to learn and excel in future-ready environments, supporting student success for generations to come.
