Sanger Education Foundation annual Gala raises over $122,000

The Sanger Education Foundation held their Annual Gala on Friday, March 20th at the beautiful Monroe Pearson event center located in Denton, TX. This evening brought together supporters, educators, public officials, parents & more to celebrate one common denominator, our students and teachers of Sanger ISD. With nearly 350 attendees present, the Foundation raised just over $122,000 that will directly support both the programs and initiatives that are put forth by our educators and students themselves. The evening was full of success, celebrating, outpouring support and an immense sense of community that would make anyone proud to call Sanger home.

Since 2005, the Sanger Education Foundation prides themselves on bettering the students and teachers in the schools who are the heart of why they do what they do. “We could not hold this event and give back year after year if it were not for our supporters, donors and community members who believe in us and believe in our mission. It is because of YOU that we can continue giving back to where it matters most. We are all making a difference in a child’s tomorrow because of your actions today,” said SEF Director Valerie Foster. 

Whether you attended in person, purchased an auction item, made a donation, participated in the exciting heads or tails game or purchased a golden ticket, your contribution has not gone unnoticed. They had over 130 silent auction items and 12 live auction items that included the highly sought after Pepper Belly Catering Package where SEF was graciously given two to auction off that brought in over $4000 alone! 

 A congratulations is in order the heads or tails winner, Representative Jared Patterson and the golden ticket raffle winner, Jonathan Loper of Core Construction. These two gentlemen were both first time attendees and had beginners luck with them!

The gala may be over, but the foundation is currently in the early planning stages of the lunch with community leaders. If you are interested in attending, please contact the foundation office.
