Sanger Area Historical Society Thumb Drive Fundraiser (loaded with 67 Sanger yearbooks)

The Sanger Area Historical Society is excited to announce the Sanger School (all grades) and Sanger High School Yearbook Archive Thumb Drive Fundraiser. They have ordered custom made thumb drives and loaded them with 67 Sanger yearbooks. The yearbooks are PDF files that have been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR), so that they are searchable. They are offering these thumb drives to anyone who makes a donation of at least $20 to the Sanger Area Historical Society ($25 if we have to mail it to you). All proceeds will go toward funding the digitization of the rest of the Sanger ISD yearbooks that we have been able to collect or borrow. “We appreciate the support of @sangerisd giving us permission to scan and fundraise with the scans, so that we can end up having all yearbooks from Sanger ISD history available online for free. They will have these thumb drives available at the Museum on Saturdays and at their meeting on August 6th.
They have a new website, which will be part of what they show everyone on August 6th. If you are interested in checking it out in advance here is the link:
On August 6, 2024 the Sanger Area Historical Society will host it’s first public meeting since before COVID, it has been several years so this meeting will be all about what the Historical Society has been doing to preserve and share Sanger area history, and how you can access Sanger history resources from home. The meeting will be at 6:30 PM at the Sanger Public Library. The public is invited.
