New McDonald’s planned near SHS

A new project titled "MCD Indian Lane" has been registered with the state, signaling a brand-new McDonald's is coming to the intersection of East Chapman Drive (FM 455) and Indian Lane.

The $1.5 million project involves the ground-up construction of a 4,061-square-foot restaurant on the Southwest Corner of the intersection. This places the new fast-food spot directly across the street from Sanger High School, and Sanger Middle School, making it a prime destination for students, staff, and families attending games at the nearby athletic complex. This location is distinct from the existing McDonald's on the I-35 frontage road (Stemmons St), suggesting a strategic move to serve the residential growth and school traffic on the eastern side of town.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer on July 1, 2026, with a target completion date of December 31, 2026.
