The popular football magazine is high on the 2025 Sanger Indians varsity football team. They have them picked to win the district championship in 5-4A Division II. “I think it’s great and goes to show you we are picking up traction and shows the amount of kids and talent coming back,” said head coach Chad Rogers, about being the favorite in district. “We have had an outstanding off-season and summer workouts and we are a lot bigger and stronger. The kids are hungry and want to get the bad taste out of their mouth from last year.” Sanger lost three district games by a combined four points to narrowly miss the playoffs in 2024. “2025 is going to be an exciting year,” Rogers added. Sanger’s is fast as well, as by the 40 times highlighted in this article.
Here is what the magazine reads.

RB Jones (1,483 yards, 15 TDs rushing) and ATH Martin (450 yards, 8 TDs rushing; 17-113, 2 TDs receiving) are big time playmakers, while OL Zuniga is one of the area’s most underrated linemen. Junior LB Taylor (88 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks, 3 INTs) was the district newcomer of the year in 2024. He is the preseason defensive MVP by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine.
