FM 455 TxDOT Widening

TxDOT contractor Webber pours concrete on FM 455 West  near Clear Creek, recently.  They’ve built a cement plant near Pit Stop in Bolivar.  Dump trucks are used to transport the concrete and it is unloaded on a piece of equipment with a conveyor belt and distributed in a long row.  Then a machine spreads it while workers complete the finishing look.  The concrete is 10” thick.  TxDOT is widening FM 455 from Bolivar (FM 2450) to Marion Road, just east of Sanger High School.  When finished, it will be two lanes each way. The pavement is being layed on top of asphalt for the entire project.
