Downtown Sanger Farmers’ Market to be held Saturday, August 3rd from 6-10 p.m.

The Moonlight Market is  making its debut downtown on the Sanger Square on Saturday, August 33rd from 6-10 p.m. Do you want to spend your Saturday evening scrolling down the aisles of local vendor tents lit up by twinkle lights, listen to live local artists, and check out the amazing downtown shops and a bar within walking distance? Then join in for a night to remember, which will surely make history for the charming farmers’ market. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit to the 1st annual Moonlight Market.

History of the Market

Currently ranking as one of the top five farmers’ markets in Texas, the Downtown Sanger Farmers’ Market opened March 2023 with 21 vendors. Today, it hosts over 35 vendors 1st and 3rd Saturday and 3rd Sunday at the Stephen Baker Field. The location is intended to be temporary until they move downtown year-round. Amber Whitworth, one of the founding members, explained, “My goal is to connect the local producers to the community and bridge the gap between farm and table, enriching the community's understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from while supporting the hardworking farmers, ranchers, and artisans who sustain our local economy and ecosystem."

This special evening market provides shoppers with a chance to enjoy the market in a new way while allowing new customers a chance to shop later hours.

What can you find at the Market?

With over 45 vendors, you will be able to purchase a variety of products from locally grown produce, beef and chicken, baked goods, cold-pressed juices, coffee, candles and more. A full vendor list will be provided on their website and Facebook page next week.

Visitors to the Farmers Market will find:

•   Local farm-fresh produce

•   Local honey

•   Local organic produce, including fruits, vegetables, and herbs

•   Local whole-grain and sour-dough bread

•   Milk from grass-fed dairy cows and yogurt

•   Native Texas plants and flowers

•   Natural grass-fed meats, including beef, lamb, pork, and poultry

•   An assortment of pickled and canned items

•   Preserves and jams

•    Texas salsa

Enjoy delicious freshly squeezed lemonade, snow cones, or tacos from Oscar's Street Tacos with many more delicious goods to choose from.

• Live Music from Harper John beginning at 8 pm to 10 pm
