Cowling Road Bridge Now Open...

A vehicle crosses over the new Cowling Road Bridge on Tuesday morning. On Monday, July 18, 2022 the Cowling Road Bridge (pictured left) over Clear Creek was demolitioned. Workers prep the area for the new bridge (pictured above/right). Texas Department of Transportation closed the bridge, for a full removal and replacement. The bridge is located south of Sanger, parallel with I-35. The $2.8 million project to remove and replace the bridge, was completed early this week. Cowling Road has been an alternate route for local residents when I-35 traffic is backed up between FM 156 and Sanger.
