Construction starts on third Dollar General

Another Dollar General is being built on the south side of Sanger on Fifth Street, near Trail Dust Steakhouse, just off I-35.  It will backup to Southland Drive at the end of the culdesac. The address will be 209 Southland Drive the new store is on 1.23 acres and the building will be 10,640 square feet.

This makes three Dollar Generals in a four mile span. There is one on the north side of Fifth Street (next to the Post Office) and a Market DG in Bolivar at the 4-Way Stop.  The property has been zoned commercial for years, but residents in the neighborhood are not happy with it being built right next to the culdesac.   Part of the parking lot will be a buffer between the new store building.
