Tom Thumb opens a brand-new store in Sanger RIBBON CUTTING & GRAND OPENING CELEBRATIONS...

Tom Thumb is proud to be growing with North Texas. This is one of TWO stores opening THIS MONTH.

  Sanger, Texas – 12/12/25 – The Tom Thumb located at 1413 W Chapman Drive in Sanger opened to the public. The first 300 shoppers received a bag full of groceries and all shoppers enjoyed the incredible deals and sensational offerings.

  Tom Thumb customers had the opportunity to explore the long-awaited 50,000 square foot store with everything grocery shoppers need to fill their pantries and host their events. Up and down the aisles of the new Tom Thumb, shoppers found it is fully stocked and includes tens of thousands of items plus more than 1,000 local products. Customers at this store enjoyed the fresh departments Tom Thumb customers know and love including Bakery, Deli, Meat & Seafood, Produce, and Floral. Shoppers and community members also love the in-store Starbucks coffee kiosk, Pharmacy in store plus drive-thru lane, and Drive-Up-N-Go^TM grocery pick-up.

  The ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday night during Tom Thumb’s preview party and included remarks from Sanger Mayor Thomas Muir, Malouf Interests, and the Sanger Chamber of Commerce. Tom Thumb also presented checks to local organizations totaling more than $50,000 including Sanger First Baptist Food Pantry, Sanger ISD, and Sanger Education Foundation. Local Sanger High School students performed. 

Customers were lined up before the 6 a.m. opening on Friday, December 12. And the public had marvelous reviews of the new grocery store.

  Every department inside the store was prepared for this exciting day.

  In Deli / Food Service customers found ReadyMeals products, meal solutions that are ready to eat, ready to heat, or ready to cook. Along with made-in-store sushi, a full-service salad case and hot line offerings, over 400 specialty cheese and charcuterie items, and the best fried chicken in town.

  In Bakery customers can pick up hot, fresh bread baked daily, enticing deserts that are ready to “grab and go”, a five-star cake decorator on staff, in-store fried donuts, and exclusive items such as Christie’s cookies and Blue Bell ice cream cakes.

  In Produce the department boasts hundreds of high-quality fresh produce items including organic items and an extensive variety of Fresh-Cut fruits & vegetables, prepared in store daily.

  The Floral department showcases a variety of well-cared for fresh flowers sourced from all over the world, Texas grown poinsettias for the holidays, bouquets, and arrangements, FTD service available, and trained associates ready to help with special orders and customer arrangements. Plus, this Tom Thumb has a balloon bar and ready for weddings and special events, too.

  Inside the Meat & Seafood department customers will find knowledgeable associates at the butcher block, the best seafood in, and USDA choice and prime beef. Offerings include organic and grass-fed varieties as well plus seafood purchases can be steamed at no additional charge.

  Up and down the main aisles of the store, customers will find thousands of everyday grocery and non-food items including more than 1,000 local items.

  The Wine and Beer department includes a wine selection of more than 1,000 wines and a beer selection that includes 85 local Texas craft brews.

  The friendly Pharmacy staff is ready to assist patients in store or through the convenient drive-thru window and customers will find multiple ways to save on groceries when transferring prescriptions or utilizing vaccine services.

  Starbucks coffee baristas are ready to make customers’ favorite beverages whether they are hot or cold, including Nitro and Cold Brew, along with Starbucks brand pastries. This in-store kiosk is the first for Tom Thumb to offer mobile ordering in addition to in-store ordering.

Tom Thumb donated $30,000 to Sanger ISD.

The Sanger Tom Thumb store director and the grocery store department heads were recognized at the ribbon cutting.

Tom Thumb donated $10,250 to the Sanger Education Foundation.

Tom Thumb dontated $10,000 to the First Baptist Sanger Food Pantry. They have also partnered with the local pantry and will continue to donate food items, in the future.
