New UIL Realignment announced for football and all other sports

The UIL announced the new district realignments for 2024-2026 last week.  Sanger’s in Class 4A D2 (small school) for football.  They are in District 5 with Bonham, Caddo Mills, Farmersville, Gainesville, Krum and Van Alstyne.  In basketball and all other sports, the Indians are in District 9-4A with Aubrey, Celina, Frisco Panther Creek, Gainesville, Lake Dallas and Van Alstyne.  

In football, the Indians would face District 6 in the first-round of the playoffs: Canton, Ferris, Kemp, Quinland Ford, Sunnyvale and Wills Point.

In volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball, first round playoff opponents would  be from District 10-4A: Carrollton Ranchview, Uplift Hampton Prep, Uplift North Hills Prep, Uplift Summit International Prep and Uplift Williams Prep. 

The top four teams from each district will advance to the playoffs.
