Enrollment continues to grow at Sanger ISD

The Sanger ISD enrollment count was 2,820 students for the 2022-23 school year and will continue to rise a little more.

Most the the grades average around 200 students, but the freshman class if 275. The third grade (230) and tenth (225) are the next biggest classes. The smallest grade are the seniors at 173.

On the final day of school in May, the enrollment was 2,739. At the start of the 2021-22 year it was 2,690 and the start of 2020 was 2,526.

Sanger ISD Superintendent Dr. Tommy Hunter said, “The increase is in line with demographers projections and expectations. I do anticipate it to increase maybe another dozen or so over the next couple of days / weeks. It normally settles on a number soon after labor day.”
